
| Stock Description: 2 and 4wheel drive trucks and SUV’s, intended to be a stock entry level class. Engine: A. OEM or direct replacement parts only. B. No modification or alterations to any parts unless specified that it is allowed. C. Alternator, fan, and power steering pump must remain if vehicle was equipped from the factory. Other accessories may be removed. D. Block, crankshaft, heads, and rods must match what was available for that year vehicle. E. Maximum of .060 overbore. F. Pistons must be direct replacement G. Pistons must be at or below deck height Fuel system and induction: A. Maximum of 750cfm OEM carburetor if available as a option. Maximum of 600cfm aftermarket carburetor. B. EFI will be allowed if the following conditions are met: a. No modification to any parts, this includes but not limited to, air intake tube, MAF sensor, throttle body, fuel injectors, ECU or any related sensors. b. Must match year and make of vehicle. c. Engines originally equipped with EFI may substitute with a low rise C.A. R.B emissions legal 4bbl intake manifold with 600cfm carburetor. Forced Induction: A. No roots type blowers. B. Centrifugal superchargers and turbochargers will be allowed on 4 and 6 cylinder gasoline and diesel and 8cylinder diesel engines only. C. Must be factory equipped, no “dealer option” D. Engine combination must have been produced in quantities of 5000 or more available in the United States. E. VIN number on cab must match for that engine. F. No modifications to system at all. Boost must remain stock. Heads: A. Factory heads only. No modifications. B. Heads may be milled. Valvetrain: A. Must remain stock for that vehicle year. Oiling System: A. High volume/pressure oil pumps allowed B. No dry sumps or other modifications. Cooling System: A. Radiator must be front mounted in original location B. Limited to one radiator. Chassis: Frame: A. Stock frame only B. No additional material may be added to the frame with the exception of: a. When frame is repaired patch may not extend beyond 1” in any direction of affected area. b. Additional front cross member may be added, must remain with 5” of existing cross member C. Cannot be lightened by removing material. Suspension: A. Suspension mounting points cannot be altered or modified. B. Suspension parts may not be modified, repairs allowed but may not provide additional strength or change geometry from that of original components C. Spring rates may be changed, but must remain in original position. D. ½ ton truck may use ¾ ton parts provided that they are from same year of manufacture and do not alter suspension geometry(i.e. direct replacement) Shocks: A. No rebuildable, adjustable, remote reservoir, or non-OEM coil-over shocks allowed B. Maximum of 2 shocks per corner in original location, if factory equipped with only one shock second shock may not be longer than 2” of original shock. May only be mounted on lower A-arm, I-beam, or axle housing. Axle assembly: A. Must be original or available as an option for that vehicle in that vehicle year. B. Center sections may be welded or spooled to provide traction, factory limited slips differentials allowed, no aftermarket limited slips or lockers Transmission/Transfer case A. Must use available transmission for that model/year B. Single disk aftermarket clutches allowed for manual transmission. C. Automatics must use conventional OEM type torque converter. D. Manual ratchet type shifters allowed. E. No internal modifications. F. Coolers allowed but must be mounted in front of radiator. Body: A. Body must remain stock and complete. B. Wheel wells and fenders may not be modified. Excessive rust must be repaired if tech official believes that it may provide a competitive advantage by allowing tire clearance C. Drivers position must remain approx stock. Tires: A. Any DOT approved tire allowed B. Maximum diameter 31” measured at 20psi C. Must not stick out past body lines as viewed from above. Track and Wheelbase: A. Suspension mounting points must remain stock +/- 1” B. Wheelbase must remain stock +/- 1” Weight: A. Minimum vehicle weight 3500lbs Modified Description: This class is intended for limited modified production based trucks and SUV’s Engine: A. Must use OEM block, no aftermarket blocks allowed B. Maximum displacement 470ci C. Aftermarket rods and crank allowed, must be cast iron or steel D. Aftermarket pistons allowed. E. Roller cams allowed. F. No titanium parts allowed Heads: A. Aftermarket heads allowed if: a. Valve angle remains within 2 degrees of stock b. Intake and exhaust ports remain in the same configuration B. Porting and polishing allowed C. No titanium parts allowed Fuel system and induction: A. Any four barrel carburetor allowed B. Predator carburetors allowed C. Fuel injection allowed if: a. Engine is less than 360ci b. OEM ECU is used, no stand alone or piggyback systems allowed, reprogramming and chips allowed. c. OEM concept is maintained, No open/box type plenums, no carburetor intakes modified for direct port injection, TBI on aftermarket intakes allowed if engine came with TBI originally. D. No custom intake manifolds, manifolds may be ported but no welding or adding material E. No turbochargers, superchargers or nitrous. Oiling system: A. No dry sump systems B. Oil coolers allowed C. Oil filter relocation allowed D. Oil accumulators allowed Chassis: Frame: A. Original frame must remain from furthest forward stock suspension mounting point to rearward most stock suspension mounting point. B. Strengthening of frame allowed. C. C-notching rear of frame for axle clearance allowed provided strength is not affected. D. No tube chassis, custom, or homebuilt frames. Suspension: A. Maximum suspension travel is 14” B. Front suspension must remain factory concept for that frame. C. 3 or 4 link suspension allowed in rear but limited to 12” of travel. D. No quarter elliptical springs or compound suspensions allowed. E. No nitrogen shocks as primary suspension Shocks and Bumpstops: A. Multiple shocks allowed B. Coil-overs allowed C. Hydraulic bump stops allowed Transmission and Transfercase: A. Any OEM passenger car or truck transmission allowed B. Aftermarket parts and modifications allowed C. Automatics must use conventional torque converter D. No multi-disk clutches allowed on manual transmissions. E. OEM type transfer cases only, must be bolted in original holes, if adapter plate is used, must be as near to stock as possible. F. Modification to transfer cases allowed. Tires and Wheels: A. Maximum of 35” x 13.50 tire B. Maximum rim size 17” C. Beadlocks allowed. Steering: A. Must be safe, any design allowed. Brakes: A. Any brakes allowed B. Must be capable of locking all 4 wheels. Body: A. Must resemble truck or SUV produced in quantities of 5000 or more. B. Wheel wells may be modified Weight and Ride height: A. Minimum weight 3300lbs B. Minimum weight with Aluminum heads 4000lbs C. Minumum weight with engines over 400ci 4000lbs. D. Must clear 12” ride height block under transfer case or transmission. Open Description: Any 2 or 4 wheel drive truck or SUV allowed. This class is left open so everyone will have a place to race if they do not fit into other classes. This class is not intended to be a built to the limit class. Engine: A. No Roots type blowers allowed. B. No nitrous. Tires: A. DOT approved tires only |
